HerePic connects your photos to the places they were taken. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices. By using HerePic, you agree to this Policy.

Data We Collect

• Location (precise, while using the app): Used to tag photos and enable nearby discovery. Not used for cross‑app tracking.
• Photos/Media (user‑provided): Uploaded to our storage/database to power your gallery, sharing, and discovery features.
• User Identifiers (optional): If you create an account, we store your user ID and email for authentication and content attribution.
• Device Info: May be read on‑device for compatibility (e.g., OS version). Not transmitted by default.
• Diagnostics: Crash logs and performance metrics are stored on‑device in the current version and are not transmitted.
• Support Communications: If you email us, we receive the information you provide.

How We Use Data

• Provide core functionality: location tagging, gallery, sharing, discovery
• Authenticate accounts and attribute content (if you sign in)
• Maintain security and integrity of the Service
• Improve performance and reliability

What We Do Not Do

• No ad tracking or cross‑app tracking
• No sale of personal data
• No third‑party advertising SDKs

Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may use service providers (e.g., hosting and database providers) to operate the Service. These providers process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.

Your Choices & Controls

• Permissions: You can disable location or camera permissions in your device settings, though some features may not work.
• Account: You can use HerePic without an account. If you create one, you can delete it in‑app.
• Content: You can delete photos/content you’ve uploaded from within the app where supported.

Data Retention

We retain your content and account information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete content or your account, we delete associated data within a reasonable period unless retention is required by law.

Security

• Encryption in transit and at rest for stored data
• Access restricted to authorized personnel

Children’s Privacy

HerePic is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us personal information, contact us to request deletion.

International Transfers

Your data may be processed in locations where our service providers operate. We take steps to ensure appropriate protections consistent with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated in‑app or by updating this page.
